There is the "beginning" of a menu with the word "Bitcoin" but there are no "File", "Settings", or "Help" menu titles. Clicking on the word "Bitcoin" in the menu bar does nothing. According to this it seems there should be a menu. First of all what you should know that there are 2 versions of the official bitcoin client, bitcoin and bitcoin-qt. Bitcoin is the command line client that is for more advanced users while bitcoin-qt is the graphical user interface (GUI) version that is easier to use (aim to use the bitcoin-qt, GUI version).
